At the Regenerative Health Institute we provide regenerative and chiropractic care in Carmel, IN for the greater Indianapolis area. This includes the use of PRP, Wharton's jelly, and other means to help patients live healthier and pain free. Meet our Staff below.
Dr. Derek Smith
Dr. Smith grew up in Portland Indiana. At the young age of seven he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes Type 1. Since then, he has been intrigued on how the entire body works and started working out and playing sports to be as healthy as possible while being diabetic.
Dr. Smith received his Bachelors of Art from Ball State University, majoring in Telecommunication and Exercise Science. While at Ball State Dr. Smith helped with various human performance studies. Dr. Smith has worked with everyone from weekend warriors to Major League Baseball players and their families.
Dr. Smith earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic, then worked at Coastal Integrative health
After earning his Doctorate from Palmer Dr. Smith became an associate at Coastal Integrative Health treating patients of all ages. Dr. Smith started the Regenerative Health Institute to serve Central Indiana.
Dr. Smith is always continuing is research on up to date techniques and literature. Dr. Smith is continuing his education in Regenerative Medicine and Chinese Medicine with Acupuncture.
Sarah Keehn is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Goshen College in 2018 with her MSN-FNP. She is certified in Family Medicine by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center (ANCC), and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Sarah worked as a RN at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN for 12 years caring for patients in Cardiac Care and Post Anesthesia Recovery.
Sarah has previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care and Pain Management. She is passionate about providing quality care and truly connecting with each patient in order to provide the individualized care that they need.
